In 2020, Verstraete.team will be celebrating its 200th anniversary! In ca. 1820 Ignatius Verstraete started out as a master craftsman with his older brother, Petrus. Leonard followed, active mainly in the construction and renovation of churches and monasteries. Leonard and his master craftsmen were known for their reliability and were therefore in demand throughout the country. Verstraete built and restored as many as 50 churches from West Flanders to Antwerp and Brussels.

Verstraete.bouw has a class 8 approval, the highest level of approval in the Belgian construction world. This allows us to focus on large construction and wood projects in West and East Flanders.
