Castle Ter Vichte
This project included the complete restoration of the facade (200m²) of a recognized protected monument, dating back to the 12th century. As experts in the field of restoration, we were honored to carry out this assignment and preserve the oldest parts of the castle grounds. The most important work consisted of renewing the exterior joinery, including secondary windows, and restoring the outdated Balegem natural stone that is incorporated around the windows and as cross monels and water frames in the facade.
In addition, we addressed all the cracks in the masonry and renewed the box gutter. Finally, rotten beams of the attic floor in the front facade have been professionally restored. The exterior joinery has been renewed to the existing model and the facade masonry and natural stone have been restored to preserve the original appearance of the monument.
