Verstraetehout creates wood sculptures for URA architects
On November 10, 2021, the first monographic presentation Solid Senses by the Brussels architectural firm URA will open in the Center for Fine Coasts.
Verstraete Hout was given the honor of making 2 sculptural models of the projects selected by URA.
Based on the chosen realizations, a model was developed in which a typical type of wood was chosen that emphasizes the concept and the interplay of shapes.
The sculpture of the Botanic Garden of Meise was finished in spruce, for the elaboration of the Healthcare Center (Elverdinge) URA opted for European oak.

Satisfied architect
Last week we handed over the 2 sculptures to Yves Malysse. He was already very satisfied with our interpretation of their projects.
As a gift we received a first copy of the book 'Architectural Project 2002-2020', in which a number of Verstraete.team projects have been published.
