Verstraete.team sets up its own training center for students
Verstraete.team pulls out all the stops: we invite all construction and wood training courses from the region to get acquainted with our industry and our company. We are currently working on our own construction and wood training center where schools can already go to teach their students the tricks of building with prefab concrete elements.
Last year we organized Open School Days for the first time, where various technical schools were introduced to the company. Our company specialized in construction and woodworking immediately noticed the positive impact of these open school days. “We gained brand awareness and suddenly received many more requests for internships,” says Bart Masschelein, our Business Unit Manager Construction.
A sequel was inevitable. This year our company is organizing four open school days, one more than last year. Among others, the students of the VTI in Roeselare and the VTI in Izegem will be visiting.

Brand new training center
This year we are going one step further. An Open School was set up on our site. Schools can use the new training center free of charge for their practical lessons.
From formwork to installing vaults. We give the students a foretaste of what awaits them in the future. When the schools come over here, we also provide technically skilled people to explain things to them. The new training center will be expanded in the future with a second department for wood.
The Open School Construction has now been completed, from March 2023 the Open School Wood will be able to be used.
