Project in the spotlight: Rumbeke Park

On the site in Rumbeke where the exclusive apartment complex 'Rumbeke Park' was built, there used to be a stately villa surrounded by greenery. The new residential project pushes the boundaries of luxury, comfort, architecture and nature experience.

'Rumbeke Park' originated from the vision of Francis Verstraete (Verstraete.team) and Pieter Beyne (Dedeyne Construct and Tri-Projects). The maximum preservation of trees and park greenery was an important point of attention for them. They bundled their strengths and expertise in a THV and acted as client and contractor. The three partners had the firm will to turn 'Rumbeke Park' into a reference project at this unique location. Partly thanks to the refined design language of Govaert & Vanhoutte Architects, they have succeeded without a doubt. The project is notable for its low, elongated shape, which allows the building to gently integrate into the surrounding greenery.

The large cantilevers with terraces and the honest materialization, which mainly consists of exposed concrete, large glass sections and wooden slats, are partly decisive for the design language. The architecture is timelessly sleek and innovative due to its simplicity.

Our project was described in detail in Building on Flanders.
