Boerenhof

The old mountain barn on the 't Boerenhof site, dating from the 18th century, has been completely restored and rebuilt according to the original model. The entire roof structure was dismantled and transported to our workshop where a team of professionals took care of the whole and restored everything with a heart for wood before reassembling it on site on a new concrete foundation. 

Contemporary techniques were also applied in this construction project, such as chemical anchors in wood & concrete, underpinning of the foundation masonry, injection against rising damp, etc.) so that the building meets current standards in terms of stability & EPB.

At the back of the building, near the non-authentic extensions of the catering business, a contemporary touch was given with a new entrance area finished with black-stained wooden facade cladding.
